On my old 01 Tahoe I had Xenarcs HID's installed and it was always my favorite mod I did and the most practical. When I purchased my "new" 11 Tahoe I imedately missed the HID performance and went in search of a retrofit. I stumbled across a blacked out retrofit on here designed by B.G. and contacted him about building me a pair. After numerous *** and emails to answer questions and advise I decided I would have him build me a set. I asked for an OEM look and went with 4300K bulbs to give me the most light possible. He estimated a 6-8 week build time. Placed order on 8/28 and were shipped 10/16 so exactly 7 weeks build time. He sent numerous emails updates which were greatly appreciated. I'm sure he will chime in with a better list of what he used.
Headlights arrived perfectly and were installed this weekend, simple plug and play just have to lower/remove bumper. They look great and have been aimed properly by him prior to shipment. I could not be happier with the lights, the craftsmanship and with B.G. for his work. If you are looking at getting HID's send him a PM and he may be able to help you.
tl;dr.. ordered HID's retrofits, extremely happy.
Before anyone complains I am at a stop with no traffic behind me for these pics.
If anyone is wondering about the light of 4300K in these projectors I can say that the light is pure white. The very bottom of the light has a yellow tint as you can see in the pic, but it is much less yellow in real life then the pic shows. The very top of the beam has a blue color due to the lens of the projector. That being said 98% of the light is bright pure white light that covers the road fully.
