I was thinking about getting a winch too. Not sure how to tackle mounting since I have the ranch hand brush guard on there. I think it might be tricky getting it situated.

Pic of your brush guard. Anything is possible with will power.

You move the control box to te side, you have a long cord that plugs into te control box to send cable out and in. As for the free spool lever. You simply reach up in there and flip te switch.

I was planning to rotate the winch 90* so (the base play points to the engine. And the lever would be facing the bumper And easy to grab.

There is also wireless control in/out controllers also

What type of push bar is on this Tahoe? I have an 01 Yukon Z71 that I would like to mount a hidden winch and a Go Rhino type push bar on the front. I was worried that the lower bar of the push bar would interfere with the winch rope.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I doubt it would interfere. If anything i might rub on tall things like if you try to recover a lifted truck

I was just looking for a front mount hitch for my 01 Hoe. I use mine for a rod holder for the beach and a cargo rack. I don' like the under the bumper mount, I would like one that would come through the plastic valence right under the chrome bumper. The only way I think this can be achieved is to get it custom welded.

This is definitely the type I would mount if I had a 4WD model.

I think that looks great and the clean hidden look would look good on your ride.

I sometimes wish that I had my stock Z71 from bumper because that middle of the valence looks perfect for the hidden winch. I have a full front end replacement with a receiver hitch so If I get a winch I'll put it on a receiver mount.
