Hidguy Power Relay

I was on the hidguy website checking out HID conversions for my *****. In going through the option on wattage and kelvin, I noticed that they give you an option to purchase a HID power relay and states that its good for you in the long run? Not exactly sure what the power relay is for and how it relates to the auto headlights? Aren't HID PnP powered by the OEM headlight connectors...not sure why I need these? If anyone could clarify?

The relay hooks up directly to your cars battery and will provide a steady voltage to your hid ballasts. It ensures that there will be no voltage drop that can cause your headlights to flicker. I'm not sure if many people experience that problem, but I used one when I had my hid projector setup just to make sure I was getting the best possible performance.
