High and low beam upgrades

plug and play, but i have not been able to make them adjust (have tried) but i also dont think they nned it.

i have not done any high beam mods as i rarely need them as of now.

Fogs are next and will probably be the morimoto replacements housings.

We live and drive in pretty rural areas where the woods come right up to the edge of the road and lots of deer to watch out for so good high beams are a must.

I run diode dynamics SS3 pro sae fog pods in my 16 ram and will likely do the same to the suburban, they’re an awesome fog light especially in selective yellow.

2020 Yukon Denali with factory HID lows. What exactly is the type of bulb in the high beam? H11? 9005? Is there a list somewhere? The owner’s manual talks all around it but doesn’t mention the bulb size.

is it not a D3 HID Bulb ???

should not be a halogen bulb, but rather a projector with a shutter..IE = 1 bulb does both functions

High beam. Not low beam, that’s an hid.

thats why i asked, i would think the HID functions both.


why not go pull the driver side bulb and see what markings it has

I would think that your high beam is a 9005 bulb.

My ‘15 Yukon Denali with factory HID headlights has D3S HID low beam bulbs and 9005 high beam bulbs.

I don’t think there were any bulb or headlight changes from 2015-2020. I could be wrong though.

Thank you, the high beam is a 9005. I also have hid lows, they are factory and do not do high beam. My only complaint about this truck is the dime store lighting. The fog lights are pathetic.

Do you need the anti flicker module with the 2 stroke 3.0

i did not / still do not need anything other than the bulbs themselves.
