I have a 01 Tahoe with the 5.3 and am having a high idle problem. I have read other post about the issue and think I have narrowed it down to the IAC or the MAF. I wanted to throw in that it does this only some times, more frequent than before. The last time this happened was about a year ago during a long trip. We went on another long trip last week and now it continues to idle @ about 1100 RPM when it wants to. My gut is telling me IAC but I cannot afford to just throw parts at it. One other symptom is that it does not shift correctly which in my mind, tells me that it is something electronic. Ideas?
