So since my Tahoe has turned 90k, I've been thinking about what to do as far as maintenance. Today I did the plugs and wires with replacement Acdelco wires and iridium plugs. I was thinking about doing all the fluids such as front and rear diff, trans, coolant, brake fluid and maybe the power steering fluid. What about the fuel filter? Is it in the tank or external? Also any other recommendations?

If you want to do a little preventative maintenance....I use a turkey baster and get all the brake fluid out of the reservoir and fill with some fresh brake fluid. Also use a smaller baster and take out as much power steering fluid and refill what you took out. I usually fill a 16.9 ounce old water bottle then fill another bottle up with fresh PS fluid and pour it in. Takes all of about 10 minutes and I've been doing it since day one.

Sorry to bump an old thread but mine is reach time for the 100k service. Is it worth it to do this to the brake and steering fluid?

Can't hurt and it's cheap enough to say why not? I would probably wait on the brake fluid until I done a brake job, just because you will be messing with the brakes anyway.

Well.....I have 185K on my 07' and have done it since day 1....and have never had any issues with my brakes or power steering. Cheap preventative maintenance and also I can tell the dealer to suck it when they recommend a brake fluid change and my power steering fluid should be changed :)
