I have a 2008 Yukon XL. The oil pressure gauge started reading high, so dealer replaced sensor. Now it operates at idle or slow speeds with no load between 50 and 70 psi. My last Yukon never went above 40. Dealers says no worries, but I am. Any input appreciated.

Last oil change was at dealer, so no clue as to oil and filter. Dealer changed oil last 2-3 times I took it in for high oil pressure. Right now in the cold, I start it up, and it idles at 50. 50-60 at moderate speeds even when warm. When warmed up really good, may ilde at 45+, but closer to 50.

Dealer's response was "its better to have high oil pressure than low."

I would say the same with regard to the high comment, but too high can cause oil burn etc. Did you notice the change when the temps began to drop?
