I'm thinking of going with Mechman or Iraggi, not sure any input?

And if you install a ** alt are there any risks of frying anything in the vehicle?

It would help for sure, I'm not sure if you absolutely have to or not.

I have a Mechman in mine, been very pleased with it. As long as you get the 12v ones with a built in reg, you should have no problem with your vehicles electrical.

Mechman are good alternators. So are DC, Singer and Excessive Amperage. I haven't heard good things on the iraggi though.

^ All I've heard from iraggi was bad. Bad customer service, and shipping issues

i run the iraggi 380 amp alt in my 97 the alternator itself is amazing however very little support/response from iraggi with my questions and took 2 weeks to ship other than that no problems, and no worries with h/o alt frying anything if you remember to do a big 3 upgrade

It is my understanding that Iraggi's are noisey. Couldnt proove it. Customer service not so good according to discussions with owners. I have a Stinger 220amp alt., been relativley pleased. However, a bit pricey. I have two sp1500 batteries as well, all installed back in 2007. I have a yellow top in my s10 that has been going strong since 2001. When I replace the Stinger batteries I will replace with yellow tops.
