i use a napa premium reman 165 amp and an overdrive 2" pulley for the summer time when max ac and extended idle time will kill just about anything, so far so good. after summer i reinstall the stock pulley to extend the alternator life, slow it back down to stock rpm. be aware that "high output" alternators also create alot of heat within themselves and verify the rpm at which they start producing said "high output". in my situation, the stock 165 cant handle idle rpm with all the loads a denali xl1500 and the infamous RVC places on it.

Mechman, DC power.

Haven't slouched singer in a while. His early alts were shit but I hear he's improved a lot. That's all hear say, DYOR

I don't trust iraggi. Dudes a snake, just up and left a bunch of folks, screwed them out of their orders and warranties, went dark, then popped back up on scene a few years later like nothing happened.

Heard of CES, no experience with them though

Bad alt manufacturers are everywhere. Just be mindful of who you buy from. The high end audio folks are a good resource for this - they beat the everloving piss out if their equipment and can generally screen pretty well for who walks the walk
