How do I find the right replacement engine??

Those of US that are poor can still replace a 4.8L with a 5.3L, a 5.3L with a 6.0L ...
yes, a tune is involved, but still an upgrade ...

i'm over here being the day dreamer block work, bigger heads, cam, injectors, ported intake yada yada
but wishful thinking....
I could do it if I bought all the parts one a time over about 10 years.......

How much of a downgrade would an L96 be, for those of us not already using an L92 / L9H?
How about an LY6?
