I know this is an old post, but had to do a short reply. I just purchased this and put it on and really happy having a rear mounted tire and I think it looks great on my truck. One this now is I can keep ALL of the tires and rims the same. I know these are not in everyones reach due to being a high price, but I guess being single and not being married and not having kids to support does have it's advantages

That does look pretty sick. I would still be opted to build one regardless of price only due to how far these stick out. If I were able to get one of these used for a good price I would cut it and move the spare closer to the hatch and maybe add a small angle to it as well.

what's the tow rating for that?

Thanks!

The Tow rating on this mount is:

Tongue weight-750 Lbs or 340.194 Kg Max
Max tow weight-7500 Lbs or 3401.943 Kg Max

Of course for me, I don't know if I would try the max weight. Myself if I was going to pull that amount of weight which I probably never will, I would just go straight back to the hitch directly instead. For pulling a small boat or camper that is like 4500 pounds, I would be fine doing that.

Sounds good, I'm with you on that. It's good that they make them to be able to handle that kind of weight though for as much as they cost they better be able to do some work and not just look pretty.
