Just because a vehicle has a vin it doesn't mean it can be registered.

A lot of track only race cars have VINs, and there's no way to register them.

I stand corrected........

I remember now..... in about the year, 2000, I crewed with a race team, the shop in Madison, Wisconsin.
( Kelly Moss Motorsports)
We got 2 Porsche GT3 RS's and raced them around the country ... I remember the vin #'s now....

Could you just switch all the good parts over to an existing Escalade?

You could. But the purchase price of that Escalade just to swap the parts over isn't worth it when you can buy the engine, trans and other parts from wrecked vehicles. About the only unique parts you'd get are the shifter console, seats and body pieces.
