Which 360 do you have? Just wondering how much you would need to worry about heat issues.

Well the 360 Im putting in my truck is an old one. not ancient but older than the one in my kids room
I was gonna put the ps3 in there but its on a 60 inch tv in the basement and I dont wanna mess a good thing up. whats the best way to keep it cool? mount it on a piece of wood or something?

get some old computer fans or new if your fancy and just make a "flow chamber" where air can go one way and exit out another way.

Wood would be ok to mount it on, the best thing is just to make sure is has adequate airspace all around it. Last thing you want is to set it down on carpet, blocking the vents. You could make an enclosure for it and mount it at the back, like mentioned though you will want to use fans in there to keep it cool. They even sell specialized computer cases that you transfer the innards of the 360 into, always that way for a enclosure already built. But under a seat should be easily doable.
