Ive been lurking her a lot, I just dont post much since I dont have any issues with my Tahoe (unlike my old jeep grand cherokee).

So yesterday I was in an accident. An older lady in my left lane (2 lane road) locked up her brakes in the snow, and came into my lane (right lane). I moved over to the right to ride it out in the grass near the shoulder. The van behind her which was following too close rear ended the old lady in the civic, and she ran into my driver side door, and inturn I jammed the front right of the tahoe into a cemetary fence post. I am majorly pissed off. My air bags did not deploy. It needs a hood, bumper, grill, header panel, headlight and ts/parking light, R fender and Flare, and also a Driverside door and rocker panel work on that side too, and of course paint work too. I dont think the frame is bent but I am not sure. The truck was in perfect shape and everything worked. No prior accidents. It has 114k on it. Whats it sound like to you guys? If they total it I may buy it back and repair it. I just bought it in 3/10 with 80k on it so I still owe on it.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Kevin

yea that doesnt look to bad, even if insurance totals it i believe you can keep it and keep the title clean. id suggest doing that as long as your somewhat familiar with working on cars, buy the parts and fix it at your house.

those front bumper beams are strong as bull on steroids. I slid on some black ice and smacked into a concrete Post that protects a gas pump once in my 89 sierra. Replaced the front bumper from a junk yard the next day and it looks like nothing ever happened,

Well Its at my buddys body shop. He doesnt think that its totaled but the adjuster hasnt been out yet. I blue booked it last night and it comes right in at 14500 give or take a few dollars. If were putting it back together, I'm going to upgrade to the HD hood, and also get the z71 fascia and fog lights. Build it bigger and better than before. Then later on in the next few months lift and tires.
