Well Its at my buddys body shop. He doesnt think that its totaled but the adjuster hasnt been out yet. I blue booked it last night and it comes right in at 14500 give or take a few dollars. If were putting it back together, I'm going to upgrade to the HD hood, and also get the z71 fascia and fog lights. Build it bigger and better than before. Then later on in the next few months lift and tires.

Nice, I was just about to say, now you got a good reason to get an HD hood. Hope it's not totaled. Good luck.

sometimes you make out better with an accident and you do it yourself. Up grade the parts you want.

No word from the insurance company yet. Should be this week. I did see it today and it doesn't look that bad with all the snow on it. The tow truck driver trashed the tire that was hit by the bumper. It shredded it down to the belt. I assume they'll pro rate tires for it. I was going to get a new set anyway. Also the little metal box that separated the K&N is trashed so I assume they'll put a new fipk on it, unless replacement parts can be bought. What a pain in the ass all this is. sigh....lol At least my rental is a '12 Tahoe.

The '12 Tahoe is nice. The engine is peppy, and I like the way it goes from v4 to v8. One thing I dont like is that the radio and the hvac buttons are down low, and I find myself looking down to change them and taking my eyes off the road vs the 05 Tahoe where they are higher up. Also the seats seem slimmer, and the center console is wider. The lack of captain style armrest is dissapointing too. If you gave me a '12 I'd take it though lol but I miss my '05. My Kids are upset too and want it back. lol Lastly I know leather is more expensive and nicer than cloth but I like the cloth better because nothing slides around when I'm making turns and its initially feels warmer in the cold. Waitin to see what happens, guess I'll visit the shop tomorrow...again.

lol....

Once you set the controls on the hvac for the desired temp you will have no reason to ever look at it again. I access all the radio functions from the steering wheel. And last but NOT least, if you remote start the truck, and it sees how cold it is, it will turn on the seat heaters automatically, eliminating the cold seat issue. I loved my old truck, but the conveniences on the new ones is amazing. The 2012 even has the heated steering wheel!!

Best of luck. Just stay positive, all will work out.

I had a 2011 Suburban for a rental on a business trip not too long ago and I have to agree with you, I like my '06 Interior much better then the Interior on the '11. Also agree on the cloth seats, which I as well have in my Yukon.
