Horn wire????????

So I have everything hooked for my train horns, all I need is the horn wire. Can someone tell me which one it is? Or somewhere else I can tap into it?

The easiest way is to tap it from the horn fuse in the fuse box with an add a fuse. That's how I did mine so it works with horn and alarm.

Alxs - which train horn are you running? are you using a relay to power?

Not sure on your truck, but on my OBS it's the dark green wire running on the inside of the fender wall..it's part of a larger bundle. On mine, i have two OEM horns so it's replicated on the driver/passenger fenders.

Can I also add a switch to turn the compressor on and off?
Anyone know where I could tap into a 12 volt ignition source?
I had it connected straight to the battery to test it out. Thanks!

did your kit come with a relay?? If not, i would purchase one, run it off the battery and use your horn tap as the signal for the relay.

I don't believe so. It's a hornblasters shocker 228vx.

You don't want to use an ignition wire to run a compressor unless you are planning to run the wire to a 4 point relay that is pulling the power from a thicker gauge fused wire straight from the battery.

agreed - that kit is pulling 16amps and it might strain your rigs OEM system.

I would run a relay with a direct connection to the battery.
