When my truck shifts gear, it clunks like a mother! its getting worse, I think its the u-joints but I wanted to get the opinion of the forum.

as a side note, I seem to be getting less power too, but then again I might just be used to it by now.

Yeah I bet it is the U-Joint.
You can check to see if it has some play?

Sounds like we might have the same problem, mine is when I come to a yield sign and slow down and then roll thru it, and sometimes when shifting. Had the u-joints check and they checked out fine. It is now at my tranny shop having the transfer case looked at. Will let you know what i find out.

Mine is clunking/clicking sound, in 2wd, on the driver side, when I am either going forward or reverse, and at like 5-10km, just click-a-de-clacks like a 50cent song.

But when in 4w4 sounds liek something is rubbing, so that being said I am hoping that it is just the wheel hub/bearing assembly.

Well, tranny shop looked everything over, transfer case, and the tranny and said everything looked good. Told me to keep driving it and see if it gets worse and maybe it will manifest itself. So maybe it is the u-joints after all. May need to get a second opinion on the u-joints.

I just repaired mine. It was clunking in between the 1st and 2nd gear shift, usually once it was warmed up. I replaced the valve body, 1st-2nd shift valve, and pressure sensor. Works great!
