Does anyone know how VIN numbers are assigned? I am like everyone else, waiting on a Z71 Tahoe I ordered. It was built 5/14 and is 4300 Status in midlothian Texas. When I check the dealer website, there is a Tahoe with a higher Vin than mine in transit. Wondering if that means it was built after mine or before? My vin is 300 and the one in transit(same model but luxury package) vin is 323. Anyone have any in sight?

In the past it was always sequential as far as I knew. Yours may be waiting for parts.
Sequentially. Once parts started flowing again, trucks went straight to dealers instead of the holding lot in Midlothian. GM is just waiting on suppliers to fulfill parts orders for our trucks that were built in March/April/May.
