I installed some Hawk Superduty pads less than a month ago after my Napa ceramic pads wore in less than 10k miles. The wear was due to hauling my boat around. The pads are great but they put out a heap of brake dust.

This is a recent picture of the R1Concepts Eline Series rotors I installed last November with Posi Quiet pads. I have never "cleaned" the rotors or hubs beyond the spray from cleaning the wheels and tires. When this picture was taken, the truck hadn't been washed in about three weeks. My wife is one of those ladies that waits until she is ten feet from a stop sign or light before beginning to stop so the brakes get a good work out with her driving. You can can see in the picture the lack of brake dust or rust. The discoloration you see on the hub IS dust but like I said, I have never actually cleaned them so that would be a year worth of build up.
