How can i lower the brightness on the back up camera?

how can i automatically lower the brightness on the back camera i hate it that everytime i put it in reverse the tv is sooo bright i have to manually lower the brightness everytime i already have the gauges and interior lighting at its lowest but its still bright at day time it doesnt bother me but its at night when it does anybody has the same problem and may know how to fix it or is that just the way it is?

I've noticed this as well and end up dimming the dash lighting when needed. Some aftermarket head units might have the ability to auto adjust brightness in accordance with fluctuation of interior lighting.
