How can I tell if I have remote starter or not?

I've seen a few mentions of people that bought used and accidentally found out they have a remote starter. Most said they were messing with the remote and found a pattern that started the truck.

Is there a place I can look for a module or an extra relay or something?

Didnt come as a factory option on your years. Look under the dash. If you see a bunch of wires, relays and modules, then you may have one.

Ok I'll check that out. My Fords had a feature where the remote wouldn't lock or unlock the doors if the motor was running. So if you left it idling to go in a store, you couldn't lock it unless you had another key, or used the door keypad.
It seems the remote still works the doors if the tahoe while it's running, so I thought maybe that suggested a remote starter.

No extra wires. But the ability to lock and unlock with the motor running is a great new feature for me.
