How do you clean speaker grilles?

This winter hot chocolate spilled onto the front passenger floor of my 2009 tahoe, splashing onto the door panel (ebony), to include the speaker grille. The grille is a piece of the entire door panel. Now that it is all dry, half of the grille is dirty. Aside from taking the interior door trim off to clean it, any suggestions on how to clean all those little holes?

try to scrub it with a soft bristle brush and some dilluted drgreaser

toothbrush and warm water worked just fine.
