How do you remove this cover???

Ok, need to tap into the ignition wire but can't figure out how to get this cover off. It's under the dash on the driver's side. It has two arrows at top pointing to the sides, so I've tried depressing these and pulling (among other things) and nothing seems to be working. It shouldn't be that difficult, but somehow I'm making it so.

Someone please throw me a bone here so I can feel adequately stupid after you tell me how easy it is.

And also, if you look closely there's some kind of round tab in the middle. I've tried prying on this thing pretty hard thinking maybe that's what's keeping it on, but it's not budging. I may have to tug a bit harder and risk popping something there. But, I'd rather know if someone else has dealt with this first. It appears the previous years didn't have this round tab, and some even had a nut that held it on. Not finding anything online.
