I guess this whole notion of cheaper prices is region specific. I’m in Tri-State (NY/NJ/CT) and there is price gouging for both new and used cars. New models are being sold $10k over MSRP by most dealers. Used cars are going for more than MSRP. If anything, a dealer buying it cheaper at auction will just net them more profit selling it on their lot. I am not in a market where it’s good to be the nice guy - these dealers are ruthless at turning as much profit as they can because demand is high and inventory is super low
I grew up around that area.

I'm more than happen to travel for a purchase and turn it into a 1-2 week vacation.

Yes I agree with you, I like the interior of the yukon. The front screen is a little misplaced, seems like a last minute decision. The rest of the dash is nice but I think the leather seats could have been a little nicer, have you seen some of the other OEM seats, much more detail and stitching.
I agree. I'm super disappointed by the leather in the Denali. It's just rough... not very high quality. Compare it to the Tahoe Premier... day and night. Even compared to the SLT trim the leather in the Denali disappoints. Makes no sense to me

Is the leather the same between the Denali and the SLT? I had the Katzkin leather in a Silverado that I sold last summer, it was so much nicer than the stuff in my SLT.

No, Denali gets Corse Grain leather on the seats, dash, tops of the doors, and center console.
It also gets actual leather in 2nd row, the lower trims and all Chevy's, as well as the bottom trim Escalade get pleather in row 2.
Row 3 in all the models is pleather, with the esception of the top trim Caddilac, which has leather all the way.

the leather in 1st row is much softer though on the SLT. Feels like better quality and does look even better

Also with coarse grain leather there is much less chance for the seats to crease or wrinkle. I think it is a tougher leather and that’s good….

I wasn't necessarily talking about the placement of the screen (that's a pretty standard spot in many new vehicles and has been for years) but just the fact that all new cars must have huge screens in the dash that all the systems run through is kind of obnoxious. I don't really need a tv in my dash. It's good for the cameras but honestly the only time I ever use any of the cameras is when backing up to my trailer a handful of times each year. The others are fun to show off to your friends but not really needed

Talking about huge screens, have you seen the screen in the new Expedition? It's 15.5 inches with one big button, looks like more distracted drivers on the road soon.

unfortunately I cannot get the time away from work to buy a car. nor am i sure I'd want to spend my vacation trying to purchase a car lol

I hate dealing with car dealers and salesman so that sounds like a terrible vacation lol. Just tell me what the price is, where so I sign and thanks I don’t wanna see you again
