how many of you change your own oil?

I do everything myself, grease the fittings every 5000 miles when I rotate and rebalance the tires. Since working at jiffy lube when I was 16 I will never again allow someone else to work on my vehicle unless I know them or they are reputable.

i had a friend that worked at a oil change place and they hire anyone even if they have no mechanical background at all.

LOL so true. i am training 2 at work right now. and both are almost twice my age. its sad too. one has been to automotive school and still doesnt know jack shit.

so the word is I cant lube my u-joints because they are factory? should I just replace them? Any particular brand to use?

I've seen many oem u-joints that were non-greasable get some new dana spicers or napas from most parts stores or drivetrain shops.
