Hello all just wondering how many of you guys tow boats or trailers with your yukon or tahoe? I have a 2004 z71 Im currently building and a 03 denali xl that I have had for a while. I tow with both but Im planning a long road trip later next year and will use my denali. It sits on 24's with BFG kdw 305/35/24
I will be towing my boat which I believe loaded with be in the low to mid 4000lb range plus trailer. Usually when I tow I air up the rear tires to near the max psi but I usually only tow less than a 70 miles to the lake here. The trip next year will be close to 600 miles one way. I debating to leave them on and tow in style or put my winter 20's on with 305/55/20 and use them to tow?

Heres a pic of my denali

Do you have 3.73 gears in your rear end? If so, I believe you should be fine. You will use much more fuel, but you should be ok.

Cool yeah just wondering about the tires. The denalis all come with 3.73 gears. I actually get decent gas mileage with my 24's and towing. I have a magnaflow exhaust k&n fpik and a BB tune. I believe it's about 12-14mpg depending on how far the skinny pedal is pressed.

I tow a 24" ski boat about every other weekend during the summer with no problems at all. Your tires should be fine. If anything, it would put more wear on the trans with the taller o.d.
