How much power will my truck make after these mods?

Would an 07 Tahoe be a 4L60e-variant or a 6L80?

I can never get when they switched over the transmissions. I originally thought it was when they switched body styles, but I don't that's true, right?
Google machine says still the 4l60e so I went from there. If it was the 6 speed I am pretty sure the rpm drop would be much less noticeable

Well there is a hell of a gear ratio drop between 1st and 2nd. So your rpms will drop really far on that shift. From a 5500 at 45ish in first to 3000 in second. Now at highway speed going to pass, you will drop to high 3000s to mid 4000s depending on speed. So it will feel like there is less of " a loss of power". When in reality you are just dropping into the meat of the power curve. Instead of below it and having to get back to it. And I am assuming that you haven't made a full throttle 2nd to 3rd shift, as that is WELL into triple digit speeds. But, it would still drop to 3600ish rpm and feel almost as lazy as the 1-2 shift does.
At some point I may look into the 10 speed swap. I've been hearing good things about it. Especially if this transmission fails.

That should be a great upgrade to get the most out of the 5.3

While it would definitely have a better spread between gears, I'm not sure the effort to do that swap would gain you anything driveability wise or economy wise to offset the money investment

Looks like the 10 speed is a viable swap as long as it's a GMT900+. There's a company in Houston that does them and they seem like they are turn-key, literally.

I would imagine down the road other aftermarket vendors will come up with some sort of "kit" available for DIYers?

As to whether is worth it or not, IDK. Probably skip the 8 speed because of issues, but the 10 speeds are proving to be promising.

I didn't see any pricing on their site. Maybe I missed it or it is different on a computer vs a phone. But, I was always told " if you have to ask a price, you can't afford it ".

It says 2999.99..... but that has to be just for the transmission. The 60e I put in my Silverado cost that much, so I can't see all the stuff for a retrofit into a vehicle that will also need a transfer case and driveshafts being that cheap.
