I’m in need of help with tire size. At the moment I am trying to decide between 275 60 20 and 305 55 20. My truck has a 1.5” level. I am certain the 275’s will fit, but I’m afraid the will look skinny. I am planning to buy 20x9 black rhino Sierra in +12 offset. I found a picture of the setup I want and called the place but they don’t return phone calls and weren’t helpful when I did talk to someone. I have seen guys on this site with 305’s on stock setup with only minor rubbing, yet the information written up with this setup says major trimming. Is it because of the different offset on the wheels vs stock? Any help I’d appreciated. Been toiling with this decision for weeks. Here’s the setup with 305’s. Any picks of 275s on 20x9? Here’s the link

Looks good in the photos.. Im putting 305/75/17 on mine tomorrow. Lift keys in front and air-lift bags in back.

That tire is a 33.5”x12” on a level kit. It will rub sway bar at lock and fender corners. You will have to see how much to trim once on. No the wheels aren’t the issue in that offset.

Yeah not into trimming, are 275 60’s too skinny for 20x9?

I also found a few posts with 305 50’s , they appear to be about a 32” tire but nice and wide. Will this size fit ok?

Depending on what you have currently the 305/50 is about 1.5" wider and almost the same height (+.44"). Depending on the wheel you used, I would think it would fit unless you went with a real wide wheel or one with crazy backspacing. For me a height gain of less than half an inch isnt worth the cost. I will probably keep my 8.5" factory wheels and go up to a 33" tall tire. With my leveling kit I beleive it will clear everywhere.

275/60 will fit a 20x9 wheel just fine. If u want something wider go with a 305/50/20

I bought 305/55/r20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers a few weeks ago and they’re going on 20x9 wheels (+18mm offset).

2.5”F / 1.5” rear level.

My understanding is this setup will fit without any modification. I’m waiting another week or two to install everything.

Good luck with your install, Ryan, and can you let us know/post pics when you're finished with her?

Thanks!
