This is a question I've been meaning to ask. I understand most folks choose to upgrade to 3/4 ton brake components, but is there a way to increase the braking power on our existing set-up?

BTW, I'm not a fan of slotted brake rotors, I've used them before on another vehicle, and it didn't increase the braking performance as much as they advertise.

Swap the brake booster(Vacuum) for a Hydro boost one! Thats all you will need. Brake lock up or shake rattle and roll feeling the ABS work!

hydroboost swap is the best bang for the buck if you want better brakes.

i have slotted brembo rotors on the front of mine and they seemed to help out quite a bit. going to try to start finding the parts for the hydroboost swap while at the junk yards. need some more brakes to tow the boat and possibly a camper down the road.

Take part numbers for a same year dieseled Hoe parts and scavenged junkyards or parts stores. you will need fluid lines, booster, master cylinder, brake pedal.
