That's a great looking conversion! Doesn't the whole bar light up? Personally, if I could do that, I would be afraid of that getting dinged by stray debris. The chances of that are getting hit by stray objects are a little scary imo. Have you thought about putting third brake light covers on them?

It's no different then the stock one. I'm confused.

ok so i just ordered mine from ebay, the guys was asking 210 and i got it for 145 +30 shipping=175 . I will have to paint it so thats going to be a little pain. i have the OEM part #s for the 'housing' and the light. housing# 25970660 and the light#25779085. The cheapest place i found for the housing was for $124 (http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results.cfm?singlepart=1&partnumber=25970660). get the ligth on ebay or something.

Question? how do i paint this thing? i have a black 2008 tahoe ltz, is there a certain paint that i should use (i have no idea about the paint), any help would be appriciated.


Mods done so far: changed the bowties to chrom, and tail lights to G4s,
Mods in the way: escalade third brake light, hid headlights and ORACLE halo kit.

Conversion done on mine, only thing is the weather stripping which I will take it back off tomorrow and look at it in the daylight.

thats not a stock third brake light. That is a PUTCO LED light that they put into the stock escalade housing. Sumo did this already. The housing will run you about $200 and the LED strip will run you another $300.

Do you know the part # for the led light? How difficult is it to to pull apart the housing and swap lights?
