old thread i know, but can a leaky water pump possibly cause it to go bad if its leaking on the sensor?

Replaced my CKSyesterday seems my hard/no start issue is gone...now i just need to tune it up

no sensor is sealed in with the timing cover as installed. if any thing it might look oily a tiny bit.
