Good video. Finally you got it done. I wonder why the whole thing didnt go in?

I think it would but damn if I'm gunna put more force on em...I thinks that's what caused me to strip that one out...dunno?

Yea what caused the other one to strip out was the use of the wrench and opposing forces. I mean you're trying to draw the stud in while at the same time trying to use the knurls as a hold down while twisting the lug nut on. Two forces and somethings gonna give.

IMHO, an impact and some air pressure would have made the job go way way easier. But, in a pinch, what are you gonna do.

It would be wise to not drive too far when you reinstall your wheels. Install your wheels then after about a days driving, but no more than 50 miles, check the torque of the lug nuts. Pay special attention to the studs you replaced.

What torque? 130-140??

Figured it out BTW. You MUST use washers that will fit the entire length of the stud. The stud gets thicker at the end after the threads (see video) and the flat side of the nut almost can pull the stud through till that thick end starts poking through. What happens is the nut pushes up against the thick part of the stud coming through, and the thick part obviously has no threads but the nut gets stuck on the thick part before you thread out.
