Not much luck searching the net as I don't see a GM part number on mine.

I just finished rebuilding my front suspension on the Escalade and the ride is much, much better but something still feels lacking, it should ride like a brand new truck but still has something uneven in the front end.

I looked underneath at the torsion bars as I suspect them. The vehicle was hit early in life and of course carfax didn't have much info and the dealer told me it was a passenger fender replaced. Turns out while rebuilding the suspension that it was much more than that. Saw the differential and passenger side half shaft marked from a salvage yard, from an 03 MY it appears. My Escalade is an 05.

Anyway, back to my dilemma. I think I have mismatched torsion bars on the front end, makes me wonder how hard the vehicle was hit.

The driver side I suspect is the OEM factory installed bar. It has DS 364 stamped on the end in the lower control arm. I expected to see PS 364 on the passenger side but instead that bar is stamped DV 374. Larger number mean 2500 series instead of 1500 series? DV mean I have a driver's side bar on the passenger side?

I'm guessing any GM part number has long since worn off and was probably a tag rather than stamped into the bar itself.

Hopefully one of you suspension gurus out there can shed some light for me. It's either that or come spring time I'm going to be crawling around the salvage yards here to see if I can identify the bar by the markings on the ends.

search on google. I don't remember the address, but there is a page that lists the different GM torsion bars. The 2500, I believe, look the same. Although, as you have mentioned, they have a much stiffer spring rate. On my 4x4 Yukon it is a plastic tag that is wrapped around the bar showing the part numbers.
