Whilst installing new Bilsteins on the 2500 Suburban today, we noticed some aftermarket torsion keys on the front. Driver side key adjusted properly, screw remained vertical as the screw was moved up or down. Passenger side pivoted outwards toward the frame as it was adjusted. No observable reason why, it just pivoted as it was tightened. We matched ride height side-to-side and left it alone as it didn't seem to be an issue.
That said, I'm wondering if someone used some cheapo keys to increase the front ride height (it is higher than stock) and if so, would higher quality keys work better? And if so, does anyone have any recommendations for high quality torsion keys? Thoughts? Thanks in advance.
