Just finished up my Mimics X2 integration, check it out!

Here is one part of the MimicsX2 module (the part that goes inside the head unit)
This is the underside of that module that we need to solder on special connectors
Here are the connectors before soldering
This is the passenger size of the radio, you must first take off the mounting brackets on each side, then remove the screens circled in red
You must also pop off the bezel around the radio, start on top and work your way down each side, and finally at the bottom (bottom is the hardest)
When you get the bezel popped off, disconnect the ribbon cable from the face.
Here is the bezel off the radio
Close up of the screws to remove to slide out the screen
Close up of the screws to remove to slide out the screen. The silver screws can't be mixed up with the gold screws, different lengths/materials
Screw to remove the top plate of the radio.
Pry on plate to remove it.
Remove these three screws to loosen the amp section of the amp.
Remove this screw to remove the antenna hook up.
Now remove these silver screws and the aluminum heatsink (all the silver screws are the same length, just don't get them mixed up with the gold screws)
Lift the board up and back
Lift the board up and back
Remove these two screws on the back to allow the screen to slide forward.
You need to unplug these two plugs, one is 3 wires, other is 4. The circles indicate where they are plugged in. (this is probably only for tilting screen models)
Sliding the screen forward slowly, you will now unplug these two white ribbon cables.
Unplug these cables.
Unbolt these 8 screws (these are special sized from the other gold screws, don't mix these up)
When you remove them this PCB becomes lose, flip it over (i left the white ribbon cable attached) This gold cable is the touch overlay that we will be plugging the mimics into.
Here is the mimicsX2 plugged into the touch overlay, and the output of the mimics back into the PCB.
Better angle
This is where I mounted mine, there was enough room here, but the cables are very tight, be careful not to rip or stretch them.
This is how I routed the cables INTO the nav unit, through the black opening on the side.
Better shot
You have to cut this bracket to slide it over the wires, or feed the wires through in the previous step (i forgot to do that, so I cut it)
Finished side shot
Finished assembly with the switch plate and bluetooth board.
This is where I mounted all of my things.
This is the passenger side console cover removed.
Let the questions begin
These are the special connectors that need to be soldered onto the mimics board for our trucks

This is the special cable as well.

You only need 2 connectors and 1 cable, but I couldn't find them in smaller quantities.
