How to jack truck up ?

Definitely depends on the jack. We probably have similar jacks. Mine's the long-reach, low-profile model. Also, our trucks are lowered and the axles are at about the same level as the frame. So it'd pick it up about the same amount supporting by frame or axle. Stock height, a Z71 or lifted might max out a jack before the tires get off the ground.

Since all I’m doing is cleaning my calipers and then painting them and probably getting the third cat I just need to get it up off the ground enough to do all that and I’ll probably just get the floor jack and jackstands from good old fashion harbor freight guess I’m not trying to be a whole lot of money.
