Hi all,

Spent the morning researching tires, lifts and levels.

I want to level out the 98 Yukon. Here's my plan- I'm looking for opinions that this will fit? (Im a newb when it comes to lifts)

I want to install a 2" level kit, bump the wheel from 16" to 17" and install 33x12.50r17 Goodyear Wrangler Kevlars. I want to replace my 'shot' shocks with Bilstein 5100's.

Is this going to work?

Thanks in advance!

Try cranking up your factory keys and see if that works to get the look you are after. Then add shocks, see if you can get them 1-2" longer. Get an alignment.

Thanks!

Do you think that will allow 17" wheels and 33" tired?

Or maybe I should crank the tires down a notch..

What are the specs on the wheel? The less back spacing, the more the tire will stick out. The more it sticks out the more it can rub at lock and over suspension cycling (top of wheel well?)

Here's the specs: I like them, but I'd even go 16 if there's an issue.

Part Number 100-7936B
Brand American Outlaw
Model Buckshot
Color Machined Black
Color Desc Black with Machined Spoke Faces and Lip
Boltpattern 6x135
Size 17x9
Offset 15
Hub Bore 87.10
Backspacing 5.59
Load Rating 2200

I might go with the 33x12.50 Cooper Discoverer STT now that I took a look at them. If the crank on the bars doesn't work, I may just get a $100 set of 2" keys from Rough Country or similar.

I think the wheels and tires will be fine, there is always a chance of rubbing though.

You don't need longer shocks for this. Cranking tbars does not increase overall wheel travel or flex. You are trading droop (downtravel) for static height.

I still say keep an eye on the shocks. Who knows what is on there. In all the times I have ripped my suspension apart one thing I have come across is that shocks should not be the limiting factor in he travel of suspension. Brand new kits I have seen have shocks that are too short.

I agree with that, but travel is not increased with a crank so unless they are not the proper shock for his vehicle a crank alone should not cause any trouble. Likely they are in need of replacement anyways. Good time for an upgrade.
