So in my SSV my auto lights don't work and, I can't turn them on via the BCM. I am want to make them work so I am thinking of using the photosensor in the dash, some wires and a relay.

Before I take on this task has anyone else tried this? Any ideas on this project?

Dealership can remove the police mode off the vehicle.
Dealer told me mine was locked up and there was nothing they could do but they were able to get my remote start working.

you could do it with a basic relay or possibly a jumper in the fuse box, but I would do the relay, you could wire the relay trigger to accessory power, a toggle switch, to the fog lights, etc...
digging into the dash to maybe get it to work with the sun sensor is unnecessary work.

I had to pay my dealer $50 so they could contact GM and get a code that they were able to input into the vehicle and my auto headlights now work perfectly as does my remote start.

My auto Headlights on my PPV worked without any issues when I bought it. I bought my PPV directly from the local police department.

Now I did have some issues where it sometimes didn’t work, so I went and bought a new light switch circle thing and no longer have issues.

I have a new switch for my fog lights let's see if that does the trick!

I'd really like mine to work too but I'm not willing to give up the performance features of the PPV if I had the computer redone at the dealer.
On another note my remote start has always worked since I bought it.
