I'm relatively ham-****** when it comes to removing plastic panels, so before I go breaking all the clips off my dash plastics, I figured I'd ask. I did a few searches and didn't turn up anything.

How do you remove the dash bezel/surround, as well as the console pieces?

I need to remove the bezel to install the backup camera monitor my daughter got me fir Xmas, and I also want to drill a hold in the console for the 3.5mm input I just wired into the XM radio.

I'm thinking I'd like to put it in the console, and also wire in another 12V plug, so I could leave the ipod or phone in there charging, and keep the cables hidden. I can run the cable out when I need to mess with the ipod.

She's an '04 Tahoe with the full center console.

Thanks!

This is what I do. Tilt the steering wheel all the way down. Move the gearshifter all the way down. With your hands, start at the top left corner of the bezel, grab and pull. Work your way across the top. It's really easy once you do it the first time.
