What up peeps, I got a question to ask you guys. My brothers 99 tahoe, he tried to turn on the car today, and nothing. For some reason, his key is not turning at all. Does anybody know the best way to go around this problem, or does anybody know how to remove the steering wheel of the car, I believe he wants to remove the locking device that locks the steering wheel, so he can move his car and park it somewhere else. Any help would be appreciated. If there is a tutorial on how to and you know the link, would appreciate it if you guys put a link to it.

i think all you need to do is jerk the wheel around while trying to turn the key. sometimes the locking mechanism on the ignition wont budge, its happened to me a few times.

His been trying all day to no avail, he even went to the dealer so he can have a key made for it. Not even that worked, it might be his lock that is no longer working, but i have never heard of a lock not working

My 86 Blazer had the rod that went from the key to the electrical box on the side bend and lock up. I ended up running toggle switches for everything. LOL

thats how you have it now, damn. Got to do what you got to do. Well my brother decided to hit the key into the lock with the hammer, and it finally worked, but now he's afraid that if he takes it out, itll get stuck again.
