HI everyone

I was trying ot change my transmission fluid and filter and can't figure out how ot drop the pan. It comes to rest on the exhuast pipe and I can't get it past the shift cable. I have taken out the torx bolt that seems to hold the cable bracket could swing it out of the way but not enough . A clue anyone

Thanks Bob

So mine came off with i dont think ever rubbing somewhere. Pulled the driveshaft.2 torqs and move.the bracket out of the way. It missed the factory Y pipe. I didnt have the deep pan. It steps up maybe 1 1/2" thats totally from memory.

I just recently installed a magna flow y pipe. Eummmmmm. Not sure if.that pan is coming off again.

I don't recall having any problems like that BUT you should be able to remove the bolts securing the trans to the cross-member & jack the trans up a bit to gain clearance.

Can you get to the 2nd torx bolt to completely move the bracket out of the way?

2004 Transmission Oil Change

OmarR you were right , the trick with this vehicle is to remove both Torx screws , swing the cable out of the way ( you can remove the cable by prying out the little horeshoe clamp ) Then it is a breeze

Thanks everyone

I had the same issue. I gave up, but later read that removing the section of the exhaust that is in the way, solves the issue. BTW, I don't see anyway to remove that Torx bolt that is facing up into the chassis.
