Hold the 2 outside buttons for 30 seconds to erase all the old codes. Take your existing garage door opener and hold it up to the homelink receiver and press the button on your existing garage door opener and the button on your homelink that you want programmed for like 10 seconds. Then, go to your garage door main unit, press the learn button, go back to your truck and press and hold the button you first programmed, hold for 5 seconds until you see the garage light flash, and then repress the button and should work...

Hope that makes sense...

My solution:

No garage. Makes it easy not to care how to program it.

;)

Now watch, I will suddenly get a decent job, home, and garage and not be able to figure it out......

I think it has something to do with the technology in the garage door opener...I can't' get mine to work. I haven't really looked into it to be honest but I tried the above months ago and no dice.
