Online looking at new rims and it's asking if I have TPMS.

I haven't noticed tire pressure as an option when scrolling through the vehicle info menu on the dash.

Thanks!

Can you show me your current valve stems on the stock wheels? Pretty sure anything like 04 and newer has it. Never had an orange exclamation point light come on on the cluster for a low tire?

ive seen vids where people take a 2 inch pvc pipe, cap both ends, drill and install the valve stems and a air valve int he pipe then pressure it to 35 psi. now all 4 stems are reading off the pipe, and you can swap wheels, winter, summer, or just get new.

the pipe with the stems gets clamped to the frame of the truck. or it can be tossed in the jack storage area.

It's a 2005 4x4. I did find tire pressure info in the menu.

I assume that if I run rims without the sensors then it will throw a code?

You do have them. If you run without them you will have the warning light on the dash.

if you want to buy a spare set of sensors so you don't have to take the old ones out of your factory wheels then your rpo code list in the glove box will tell you which freq you need
xl7 is 315mhz
xl8 is 433mhz
they run around $15 each online
