A little background here. I used to have an amp in my truck for door speakers and a sub. Long story short, the sub was stolen and years later the amp died so I still had the connections back there. I came into an infinity basslink for free so I just took the power that was already there and connected it to the basslink. Works great however I have since bought new door and rear speakers that I now want to have powered, thus my question. Can I add another amp for just the door speakers? How do I get power to them both? Would a distribution block work and what kind should I get?

a simple way to power them both is just a block like you mentioned each output fused is always best but costs go up quick. if amps are side by side then just a plain block will do. you will need to bump up the original fuse that fed that wire tho. could just use y-splitters for audio signal unless frequency filters are needed and even the i am sure inline plug ones are around somewhere.

look for class d amps. digital they are. smaller and cooler. all i will ever use in car audio.

Distrobution block shares the power.

Make sure you get the right one as there's so many to choose from for diff sized wire.

i see the some blocks but no covers for them. like the 370 amp 6 phase alt. maybe might be cheaper to just do one very high output one instead of dual lower one. would kill my power generation redundancy idea. but could turn the multi-battery power system idea in to aircraft way with multi buses and their ties.then multi batteries can start and run vehicle for hours on end with a failed alt.
