Sounds like he may, for whatever reason, lack the ability to tune the tcm?
'cause everything you asked for that got (Nope'd) has NOTHING to do with the engine control module.
He did SOME tuning of the TCM. How much, I don't know. I know he did something because it actually shifts normal now with the 3200 RPM stall, and it pulls higher into the RPM before upshifting. I just feel like he left ALL of the torque management in place, and left the shifting very soft. I even told him that I still drive it like a 3500 lb sports car, so I want it to shift like one. I don't want ALL of the torque management removed, obviously, but it would be cool to be able to do a small burnout :burnout:

FWIW, I Have been reading that people prefer to adjust the 'TORQUE ADDER' table,
which sets target shift times which can tighten up a shift, more than they like to remove torque management.
Supposedly the torque adder tables came out after the torque management settings were available.

Personally, I have zero idea. I have not messed with those tables other than copying the 2017 torque adder tables,
which generally have faster shift times (fairly marginal). But that's OK, because I'm still working on the shift scheduling!

As far as the best factory shift schedule to start with, I have to recommend the 2015 schedule.
The 2017 schedule revs too high and is not as smooth as the 2015.
HOWEVER, the 2017 tune is less boggy. Currently working on a blend of the two..
