Getting a little chirp from the front left hub. I'm doing this on a 2012 Yukon XL Denali. Anyone have any feedback on these two hubs? Amazon says the Moog doesn't fit but Moog's website says it does. The Denali and the standard 1500 Yukon have the same hubs right?

Moog:
https://www.amazon.com/Moog-515096-...ie=UTF8&qid=1471885132&sr=8-1&keywords=515096

Timken:
https://www.amazon.com/Timken-SP500...ie=UTF8&qid=1471885132&sr=8-2&keywords=515096

I've read Moog makes all of them for Timken, any truth in that?

Lastly, the axle nut is 36mm right?

Thanks, first time really working on this platform...

Look around. There is a procedure that someone posted for greasing these sealed units. If yours is not loose, then I would give greasing it a try. Never tried it, but I would risk a dollar or so of grease to save $100+ on a hub. Assuming that I can afford the time to pull that corner apart more than once.

I wouldn't have an issue running either brand. If there is any truth to that rumor about the Moog and Timken hubs being made by the same manufacturer, then I would bet that it was timken making the units for Moog.

Either way, if it is for a vehicle that I am keeping, it gets Moog suspension parts and Timken bearings.

If you do not have a torque wrench for doing the axle nut, then I suggest borrowing or buying one. Nothing will f--k up your new hubs faster than getting that axle nut too tight.

Both brands are very reputable. I don't know if it's true that they are made by same maker.
But like Jason_S said, most seem to lean towards Moog for suspension and Timken for hub bearing assemblies.
