What gun and clear are you using cant get mine to lay that slick.

PPG clear or Dupont. Depends on which parts were doing and how quick we want it to set up. Also, all parts are the truck, including the cf are getting wet sanded and buffed for a flawless finish.
So here, some finished pics. All left todo is paint the roof black, and finish up the rear quarters in cf. For now we painted blue to match. Were getting backed up a little at the shop with all the cf work, so gotta put the truck off just a little. For now im more than content with the quarters being blue. But with cf theyll be even more badass. Maybe a week or 2 ill have them done. Tonight we did the final sanding on all the doors, trunk, and buffed/polished everything, washed it up and im back to driving it again. Stay tuned for a nice photoshoot with the truck and car. I took a few quick ones but gonna do a legit shoot real soon.
Enjoy...

I like the black and blue theme, just never been a fan of CF on a big SUV unless it's running 10's or 11's...

I saw you painted the door jams, but what did you do about the engine bay?

Sick!! I see Rotora Brakes one the Z. I use to be sponsored by them when I had my Eclipse. Loved those brakes.

Couple questions, since I'm clueless about these things:

1. Do the CF quarters REPLACE the steel quarters? Or, is that just CF laid over the quarters?

2. Is the exposed CF a design element ("look") that you're after, or is it more to showcase the work you do? (I like the CF look as detail pieces, but the look of an entire panel being CF against a painted panel looks to me like the CF needs paint. I guess I don't "get it" as it is. But, if it's to showcase your work, then you've sure done an excellent job of that.)

Thanks for the info.

Definitely a different build that has my intrigued!! I'll be interested to see how those rear quarters look once on the Hoe. All you need once the CF is done is bigger brakes and some go fast goodies :)
