Hello All, My ac turns from cold to hot while I'm driving and the heater turns from hot to cold. when I stop and restart the car it works for a while. I've read some of the posts on actuator issues but they don't address this specifically. It is the driver's side only. Before I put in a new actuator is there a way to analyze the controls? Thanks

Welcome. Do you have the auto climate control? If so, does this happen when you're using the climate control?

I do have auto feature on the controls but I typically just set the temp and location manually

Since you have the DUAL climate control and your problem is on the DRIVER's side, it does make sense that one of the actuators is acting up. Do you know if it's been serviced or replaced before? Because I've read when you replace it, there is a relearn process that needs to be performed.

has never been replaced. If it resets when I turn it off then on again could a total reset be in order?

I guess it wouldn't hurt to try. I believe there's more than one actuator so I can't help you there. Once you remove the panel try adjusting hot/cold on driver side and see if you can tell which one it is. Here's a write up on how to change an actuator and how to recalibrate it.
