My baby goes in the garage, no remote start for me. The point of this thread is that my '09 operation is what I expect. Wait till engine temp is high enough to blow warm air. Not just blow cold air from the jump.
weird never had that experience with any gm vehicle, i turn it on auto/manual, doesn't matter. when started it blows air it's doesn't "wait" for anything. on auto it may increase/decrease the fan speed to compensate for the desired temp throughout a drive but that's it.
And I would be pissed if it didn't blow air out the get go, normally in about 1/2 mile i'm getting some heat/warmth in any case

My 2017 works that way, on auto with defrost on the fan stays low till it starts blowing heat then it speeds up. Which does make some sense because you're not getting that blasting of cold air at first.

Yeah, maybe the ‘09 fan comes on super low, but you definitely don’t get blasted until the air gets up to temp.
