So i bought a hydroboost last week and had it shipped here,(got it today) and the "rod persay" that connects to the brake pedal bent to far and broke the little yoke around it.
So i contacted the guy and he gave me all my money back, now i have a free booster sitting on my hands and now i just need the reservoir and some lines :)
Ive been also tracking down a newer unit from 99 k2500 booster and cylinder. ill see which one i like best..

im still nervous of making my own lines :/ i need some help from twin. i dont know how to "plumb" these lines into the pump

Thing to do is to visit a Chev dealer and have the parts guy print out the exploded diagram of the hydraulic lines of the hydro brake, from a OBS pickup. Check on the prices for the hoses just for fun at the same time. I would check both gas and diesel. That should also give you the part numbers for all the hoses.

I have gotten print outs from my local dealer many times. You can look over the computer screen to make sure the pump is on the same side for the model you are looking at.

Whether it is gas or diesel, the hoses should be the same length if the pump is on the same side.

I’m getting ready to tear mine down to replace the water pump. It’s kind of a major deal with the “Front Runner” brackets. The water pump is on the bottom of the pile. Lol I can try to verify some of the power steering fittings if you end up making lines…. Just let me know your schedule. :)

I don’t think you need to be year specific. The parts manual should be grouped by common years of the parts. I assume the power steering pumps would be the same for a long list of years. I would expect the bore in master cylinders might be different between half ton’s through 1 ton’s, because of displacement of the brake system. Just something to be conscious of.

The important thing would be to find models with Hydroboost. I have not paid that much attention, but I think the power steering pumps are always on the drivers side. See if the PS pump is the same between diesels and gas. If that’s the case, then any OBS with diesel / Hydroboost should have the correct plumbing.

I have a old 87 1 Ton that is a 454 with Hydroboost. So they do show up in some of the gas applications.
